Nestor Alfred is the Chief Executive Officer of the St. Lucia Citizenship by Investment Unit. His areas of expertise include domestic and offshore financial services, taxation, auditing, and regulation/supervision. He has held senior and executive positions within the banking sector in Barbados, the Cayman Islands, and St. Lucia. Alfred has also acquired extensive experience in compliance and anti-money laundering during his stint as Registrar of Insurance and Assistant Comptroller of Inland Revenue for St. Lucia. Alfred is a trained IMF/Caribbean Financial Action Task Force (CFATF) Mutual Evaluator and serves as Commissioner to the CARICOM Competition Commission. Nestor holds a B.Sc. in Management Studies from the University of the West Indies and an MBA from Henley Management College/Brunel University.
On January 1st 2016 applications started coming in for the new and exciting Saint Lucia Citizenship by Investment Program. With well positioned investment entry points and a unique bond offering in this part of the world, the program is poised to redefine the sector and to distinguish itself from its neighbours. The program was officially launched in Monaco in October, 2015. The Saint Lucia Citizenship by Investment Program allows qualified individuals and certain of their dependents to apply for St. Lucian citizenship. In St. Lucia, qualified individuals are able to invest in approved real estate projects, make a donation to the Government of St. Lucia or engage in an approved enterprise project. The Saint Lucia Citizenship by Investment Program was created with the aim of propelling the growth of the local economy, create employment and opportunities for St. Lucians and also to revitalize and expand the island’s top foreign exchange earner, the Tourism industry.
